afikra Salon is a salon-style event where members of the community present on cultural and historical topics they are curious about from the Arab world. The purpose of each evening is to bring together a community of like-minded individuals and have a fruitful conversation about things we don't know much about.

This event is more of a social gathering for the community in the city. We like to kick-off events every year with a Soiree to allow community members a chance to meet and get to know about the upcoming events and ways to participate in them.

We don't announce the topics beforehand but they vary widely. They are based on a curiosity that the presenter had related to Arab histories and cultures. The presentations are about showcasing and sharing what they found after spending some time looking into their curiosity.
