Kamal Dib is a Canadian-Lebanese scholar and a professor of political and economic studies. Dib has worked as a director of economic and social research in the Canadian government for fifteen years. He held a position as an economist in the Canadian Department of Finance, Public Debt Management. He held the position of Chief Economist in the Canadian government and Director of Social and Economic Research and Cultural Studies in Canada. He also works as a professor in economics at the University of Ottawa and Algonquin College. Dib has published his first book "Labor Supply in the UN ESCWA Region" in 1995, followed by many other books, such as Warlords and Merchants: The Lebanese Political and Business Establishment, a trilogy on Bank Intra and the political economy of Lebanon, as well as a series of books about about economic and social conditions in several Arab countries, including Iraq ( A Short History of Iraq), Syria (Syria in History, Contemporary History of Syria from the French Mandate to the Summer of 2011), , and Canada ( "Public Pension in Canada). He has published more than 20 books on economic and social issues, in addition to numerous studies and research papers on financial crises and cultural activities, which appeared in several newspapers and periodicals.
