Feature: How Did Baklava Become Part of My Identity?

Presenter: Anthony Aslou

Delivered:
DC on May 20, 2018

The history of baklava is as colorful as the history of the Middle East. While originating during the time of the Assyrian Empire, the dessert has crossed many borders, both regionally and internationally. It is important, however, to note that the essence of baklava cannot be claimed by any single culture. When it comes to baklava in today's world, there isn't any single authentic origination, it's just simply come to be known through a variety of cultures.
