What’s an afikra salon event?
It’s a salon-style gathering where members of the community present on cultural and historical topics they are curious about from the Arab world. The purpose of each evening is to bring together a community of like-minded individuals and have a fruitful conversation about things we don't know much about.
Who are the presenters?
afikra Community Presenters are members of the afikra Community who participated in our workshops and worked alongside our team of coaches to research a topic they have no expertise on.

Afikra DC Soirée
We are kicking off the new afikra year with a fun social hour So, grab some snacks and drinks, and come by on Friday to connect with the afikra DC community. This time we won't include any presentations, but we will briefly talk about what is in store for the upcoming year and talk about opportunities to present and get more involved. Mostly, it's just a fun get-together.
