Alya Mooro is a freelance journalist and author of the bestselling non-fiction book The Greater Freedom: Life as a Middle Eastern Woman Outside the Stereotypes. She is a columnist at Restless and has by-lines in New York Magazine, The Telegraph, Refinery29, and more. Alya is the co-host of the podcast Bootleg Magic and writes the recently launched The Greater Conversation newsletter. She holds a BA in Sociology and Psychology and a Masters in Journalism.
